Getting a little nervous

Tomorrow is the first day of the Poem a Day (PAD) Challenge. I’m getting nervous, like I’ll have writer’s block or something. Actually I’m wicked paranoid that I won’t be able to write or that whatever I do write will be stupid. These people are reasons why I just don’t write at all. Afraid I’ll suck at it. Boo. I need to stop being so negative. Ok, ok enough with the negative talk. This challenge will be good for me. It’s an excuse and a reason to be writing SOMETHING everyday. I can do this, I can do this. Nice little pep talk. I’m still a little nervous, but not as nervous.

For those of you that cannot tell what this is, it’s Minnie and Mickey mouse. Um yeah. Mj drew them. i love that she’s actually starting to put shapes together.

What am I getting myself into?

Oh my, what am I doing to myself? There are going to be so many things for me to do in the month of April.

1. It is national poetry month. The Poetic Asides blog, http://blog.writersdigest.com/poeticasides/ , will be posting a prompt every day in April. I will be writing a poem everyday in April and posting it here.

2. I came across another challenge that will be everyday in the month of April, 31 Days to Build a Better Blog http://www.problogger.net/archives/2009/03/25/31-days-to-build-a-better-blog-sign-up-here/ . I figured since I would love to make my blog better I should sign up.

3. I also MUST finish Jen’s scarf. I mean it’s a scarf, why has it taken me 2 years to make it.

4. I’ve totally come up with what I think is a great idea for a story and I totally NEED to work on that and get that rolling too.

5. Let’s not forget the picture a day as well.

6. All of the things listed above do not even include the day to day; the full time job, the kid, the boyfriend, the cooking and cleaning, the friends, the gym and whatever else comes up.

This should be an interesting time.
